Direction/piano & dance:

Annalisa Derossi, born in Turin, Italy, studied piano and dance in Turin and Paris.
She has been living in Germany since 1991, and her work focuses mainly on interdisciplinary theatre projects as a musician / dancer / choreographer / musical director / composer. Since 1996 she has been regularly collaborating with the Swiss director and composer Ruedi Häusermann, who has brought her to guest roles in renowned theatres in German-speaking countries (Volksbühne, HAU / Berlin, Schauspielhaus Zürich, Theater Basel, Bavarian State Opera, Burgtheater Vienna). In addition, she creates her own dance pieces (including CARO PIANO … a dance piece for a grand piano and DUO CON PIANO together with Gianfranco Celestino), scenic song recitals, concert programmes and site-specific performances.

Recently, she started composing her own pieces, which often stem from experimental works with the piano and include elements such as voice and sounds. She composed the stage music for the play Nora at the Theater Kanton Zürich (director: Barbara-David Brüesch) as well as being the composer of various projects by Judith Kuckart, among others, at the Bremen Shakespeare Company.
She is currently performing as an acting pianist in Georg Büchner’s Leonce and Lena (directed by Thom Luz) at the Theater Basel and Residenz Theater Munich.

Violin & dance:

Isaac Espinoza Hidrobo is a Violinist and Performance Artist from Ecuador currently living in Germany, where he does experimental work moving between the fields of classical, contemporary music, free improvisation, contemporary dance and performance Art.

He had his Bachelor Degree in Music at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, where he was awarded the DAAD Prize 2016 as well Deutschlandstipendium in 2014. He persued later a masters Degree for contemporary music at the Folkwang University of the arts, where he was awarded the STIBET I Scholarship in 2018. Last year he joined the Dance program at ZZT – Zentrum für zeitgenössische Tanz Köln.

Cello & dance:

Fanny Balestro is a cellist who began her musical education with Xavier Gagnepain, Pascale Michaca and Romain Garioud in Paris, while studying literature in a “Classe Préparatoire de Lettres Supérieures” (Hypôkhâgne).
In 2010 she graduated from the High School of Music in Lausanne. She graduated with a Master’s Degree of Arts in 2015 and receives an award for her recital “Violoncello en mouvement” ¾ the first milestone on the way to the MUance Company. She performs as a cellist in several major music ensembles: Orchester de la Suisse Romande, Orchester de Chambre Fribourgeois, Sinfonietta de Lausanne, and Orchester National de Bordeaux-Aquitaine. In addition, she is also involved in other musical projects, such as the folk pop band Elynn the Green, the experimental project The Boss Ensemble and the Swiss singer Pascal Rinaldi. She also extends her musical talent to other forms of interpretation such as improvisation and theatre.

Following her desire to closely combine music, dance and theatre, she began acting training in Paris with the company Vélo Volé. In 2016, she founded her own company, MUance, and since then she has continued her research on musical, scenic and choreographic movement.
